Coup d'Etat...will you be my friend?

Coup d’Etat is the coolest kid in San Francisco.  Seriously.

Just take a look at the deifintion of their name:

A coup d'état (English: /ˌkuːdeɪˈtɑː/, French: [ku deta]; plural: coups d'état)—also known as a coup, putsch, and overthrow—is the sudden, extrajudicial deposition of a government, usually by a small group of the existing state establishment—typically the military - to replace the deposed government with another body; either civil or military. A coup d'état succeeds if the usurpers establish their dominance when the incumbent government fails to prevent or successfully resist their consolidation of power. If the coup neither fully fails nor achieves overall success, the attempted coup d'etat is likely to lead to a civil war.

Coup d’Etat is Madonna.

What a perfectly curated studio.

What I love the most about Coup is that they create these spaces where you just envision people coming in off the street and just waving their hand across a corner of delicious furniture, lighting and basic goodness….”.....I'll just take this....”.  They create these vignettes and rooms that instantly evoke a feeling of comfort, style and uniqueness to them.  And they do this over and over again.

Much to my glee Holland & Sherry has landed in a permanent space (after being represented through De Sousa Hughes) in Coup with their luxury throws, floor coverings and natural textiles.  They offer a huge and versatile variety of linens, cottons, supple and colorful wools, leathers, printed small designer brands, etc.  Click here for a link to the lines the SF showroom carries and get ready to swoon. Judy is an absolute doll and is always so helpful and knowledgeable.

love this table by Harry Siter.  Did you sit on those stumps in our backyard roasting S'mores for my birthday last year?  Harry cut those for us - he rocks!
